I am excited to announce my new project … MINDSCAPE!
What is Mindscape? Yoga, Meditation and Breathwork for the Mind. The focus is to enhance and balance ones mental and emotional health.
How is the inner landscape of your mind … we could think of it as your internal weather … how are you feeling?
Ready to give it a go?
Close your eyes, take a few breaths and compare your feelings to a weather pattern… Personally I find it easier to make this mental correlation … Tell me how is your internal weather today?
My weather is crisp, slightly misty as the sun rises above the horizon …
Yoga in its pure form is about cultivating balance in the mind and body. As the ancient sage Patanjali describes in the first lines of the Yoga Sutras, the purpose of yoga is to still the fluctuations of the mind.
As a society we are crying out for solutions for the mental health crisis.
Currently, researchers are looking to qualify yoga’s actual value in promoting psychological well-being.
Yoga and Mental Health …
More than any other aspect of yoga, researchers have investigated how it affects individuals with mental health conditions. The results are overwhelmingly encouraging, suggesting that yoga, meditation and conscious breathing helps improve mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder, among others.
Complementing such findings are ground-breaking studies which suggest yoga practice is correlated with changes in the structure and function of the brain. These measurable “neuroplastic” changes are not just exciting and vindicating, they also show why and how yoga can benefit people who are struggling with their emotional health.
Classes start at the end of October @shrewsburyhouse I am also offering private and corporate sessions.

Please arrive 10 minutes before class to complete a health form.

If you have a yoga mat please bring that along with you, I do have spare mats.

Dress for comfort, layers are a good option.
