What takes place during a yoga class?
During a yoga class, you will be guided through breathing techniques (Pranayama), physical yoga postures (Asana) and relaxation (Savasana), there will also be chanting and mudra to enhance your yoga practice.
What should I wear?
Wear loose comfortable clothing which allows you to breathe and move freely. You may need an extra layer to keep warm during relaxation. Yoga is practised with bare feet.
Do I need my own equipment?
Please bring your own yoga mat, (I do have spare mats) blankets and other props can be provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you have them. Herbal tea is always provided for after class.
Can I eat before a yoga class?
It is not advisable to eat for at least 2 hours before your class or longer to digest a heavy meal as practising with a full stomach (food or liquids) is uncomfortable.
As the elimination of toxins is one of the benefits of yoga, drinking water after class is encouraged as it assists this process. However, drinking water during class is not advised.
How much does it cost?
The drop-in price for a single class is £12.50. If you would like to pay for the term the cost is £9 per class. If you take 2 classes per week the course price is reduced to £8 per class.
Once you have booked your course you may alternate between the other classes if you find you can’t make your designated night due to work or social commitments.
Similarly, if you are on holidays for one or two weeks you then have the option of coming twice any week to make up your classes. The only restriction is that you make up your classes within the term period.
No term refunds are given.
